solo cup summer sharing
Another fun holiday for those that are fans of root beer floats. Hubby loves them, but I thought I didn’t like them. At least I did not enjoy them when I was a kid, but a couple of weeks ago we made some (see hubby and I sharing one?) and it was actually pretty tasty!

Classic Root Beer Float

  • 4oz Your Favorite Root Beer
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

Pour about half your soda in your glass (a frosted glass would be best). Then gently add your ice cream. Now top with the rest of the soda and enjoy!

Now if you have more adult flavors in mind, Three Olives Vodka has a Root Beer flavored vodka now. It is amazing how many different vodkas there are. They sent me over a couple of recipes to help you celebrate this special day. Make the classic floats for the kiddies and try these for you and the other adults.

Do you have a favorite Root Beer Float recipe? How about a recipe for something fun inspired by the Root Beer Float?

Disclosure: I didn’t receive any compensation for this post but Three Olives Vodka provided some of the recipes for me.
