cranberry cocktails and mocktails

How does a Double-Berry Martini sound? Or maybe some Passion Punch? Trust me when I tell you they are both delicious! We had a birthday party a week ago and I made these and I was really impressed at how good they are. On top of being good, they are fairly low in calories too (compared to a lot of other holiday drinks) which means you can indulge in a drink this holiday season without having to sacrifice something else. Now I was honestly a little skeptical on how they would taste having been made with Crystal Light, but you would never know – no one at my party could tell either. My aunt even took the recipe so she could make these for a holiday party she was having with friends this week. I think I will be serving them on Christmas Day again also – that is how much I liked them!

The recipes are actually pretty much the same except that the martini recipe has vodka in it. What I did was make up the base a few hours before the party. Then when guests arrived I added the cold sparkling water to the pitcher. Not everyone in my family is an alcohol drinker so I didn’t mix the vodka into the pitcher at all – instead I just added a bit to anyone’s glass who wanted it. Put the frozen raspberries in the bottom of the glass, then vodka if they want it, then a few ice cubes (if you like), and then pour the drink into the glass. Very fruity and tasty and refreshing and I love the sparkly taste from the sparkling water – just perfect!
