Photo Apr 09, 2 37 13 PMFor the last week or so I have been using the new bareMinerals Skincare, specifically the Deep Cleansing Foam and the Purely Nourishing Moisturizer. Overall I am very pleased with them and they work well with the other bareMinerals products I already use (makeup and primer).

The Deep Cleansing Foam with RareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex, wow that’s a mouthful, is my favorite of the two items. It comes in a tube, fairly large size at 4.2 oz, and you just need a very small amount which lathers up wonderfully. I am surprised each time I use it at how much lather I get from that one little pearl sized amount of cleanser. It is very smooth to use on your face and not irritating to my skin at all. The scent is a tiny bit earthy, but not terrible. After you rinse, my skin really does feel very clean, but without being dried out. I will definitely be continuing to use this product.Photo Apr 09, 2 37 38 PM

the Purely Nourishing Moisturizer with RareMinerals ActiveSoil Complex for Combination Skin is the other sample I received. This comes in a smaller container of 1.7 oz and you will use more so it will not last as long as the cleanser will. The scent on this one is just a tad stronger also and the problem is that because you don’t rinse this product off that smell stays with you a bit. The other day I went for a walk and was sweating and the smell definitely came through again. That was a negative for me having that earthy scent come back so much. When you put it on though it is not heavy at all and it does not seem to block my pores or feel heavy on my skin later on either. I put my bareMinerals Primer on right after this, and then my makeup. No problems at all. While I like the moisturizing of this product, I’m going to have to see if I can get over the scent personally.
