Did you know that June 20th is National Milkshake Day? The folks at Krups (who make great blenders) let me know about it and sent this great recipes to help us celebrate this important holiday.
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
3/4 cup cold milk
1/4 cup chocolate syrup
5 maraschino cherries, stems removed
Whipped topping & additional cherry
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with whipped topping and cherry.
1 cup cold milk
1/3 cup caramel syrup
2 cups coffee ice cream
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth and thick. Garnish with whipped topping and caramel syrup
2 cup milk
1 cup fresh strawberries
1 pint vanilla ice cream
Place all ingredients into blender. Blend until smooth. Garnish with whipped topping and fresh strawberries.
Are you a milkshake fan? My dad always used to get me a strawberry milkshake when I wasn’t feeling well (ok so maybe not the best choice – but the thought was there). We had a place called Velvet Freeze near us that made the best shakes. Now homemade is really the only way to go I think. What’s your favorite flavor?
