I am actually not a big fan of chicken wings, mostly because I do not like dark meat chicken. I also find that sometimes they have too much of that vinegar taste. This dip can address both issues and you can adjust it to your liking too!
Buffalo Chicken Dip
- 1 block cream cheese
- 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup hot sauce of choice!
I prefer original Cholula because it is not vinegary, Frank’s RedHot sauce would be a more traditional choice. Adjust the amount of hot sauce you use to suit your taste.
- 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken, shredded/chopped
You can buy a precooked chicken, make some extra for dinner the night before, cook a couple of breasts the day of, or in a pinch, canned chicken even
- 1/4 cup blue cheese, crumbled
If you do not like blue cheese you can leave this off – but it is good!
Preheat oven to 350. Melt cream cheese in large sauce pan. Add hot sauce and stir together well. Now stir in the chicken. Spoon mixture into a small baking dish. Sprinkle the blue cheese over the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Serve with crackers, celery sticks, pita chips, or your choice of dipping foods.
