Yes, I am at it once again. Me working on my hair and makeup is still something I am not used to doing quite so much, but it is nice. Today I had an appointment to get my hair color touched up from when I first had it done a few weeks ago, plus a trim, and to get above my lip waxed.

I did not bother with makeup this morning since I knew I was going to have my hair done. When I got my hair cut and colored last time I absolutely loved how it looked. But I had decided that it was a tiny bit too short and that the red was just a bit too coppery when in brighter lights. My stylist, Christina at Ciao Bella Salon, is so great. She really listens to what you have to say and offers advice too. Love her! Anyway, we decided to go away from the red and instead working on making my brown the best it could be. I wanted more depth to my hair so we added highlights and a more brown color. This was my first time ever with FOILS in my hair. I think I may have been picking up signals from outer space LOL.

It was a beautiful day so when I was done I put the top down on my convertible! The next pic I was trying to lean my head down so you all could see the highlights better (this was back at home). That is a very odd angle to take a photo though.

I had to host a Twitter party right after I got back home (#VZWBuzz every Friday), but when I finished my work I thought I would try out some new makeup. Through Klout Perks I received Revlon Nearly Naked foundation to try out. (DISCLOSURE: The foundation was free to me and they asked that I tweet out a photo of myself with it on, which I have) I have been using Bare Minerals for a long time so liquid makeup was almost foreign to me. Recently I had heard that using a foundation brush for liquid foundation was the best way to apply so the other day I had picked up an ecoTools Flat Foundation brush. I have several ecoTools brushes and I really like them. The Revlon Nearly Naked was a good match of skin color for me. I dabbed on some spots of it with a Q-Tip and then used the brush to blend it in. Apparently at one point I was pushing the brush a bit too much because I “paint splattered” a bit onto my shirt – woops – lesson learned. So the picture above is me with just the foundation on.

Then I added the rest of the makeup. Ta da! What do you think?

Oh and by the way – the waxing up the upper lip is not bad at all. Totally bearable, just like the eyebrows were when I had those done on the first appointment.

Now everyone needs to pamper themselves now and then, just a little even. So I am giving away a $50 Prepaid MasterCard to one lucky reader so they can get pampered! You have to promise me you will use it for pampering though!
