U|R Powered Touchscreen Gloves

So you all know that I almost always have a smartphone, phablet, or tablet in my hands when I am on the go, right? In winter this becomes a slight problem because my regular stretchy knit gloves just slide on the screen and nothing happens. Because of that I have been trying out some of the latest gloves that claim to work on touchscreens. Happily I can report that I have found a winner! The U|R Powered Touchscreen Gloves (disclosure – I received a sample pair for review, opinions are my own) arrived in my mailbox yesterday and I absolutely love them!

I have tried on many gloves that claim to work but generally I have not found them to really work well, or sometimes not at all. Skeptical was my first response when I heard about the new U|R Powered line, but I thought I would give them a try. First of all, they are nice looking gloves and they come I several colors and styles. Mine are the Sasha Leather & Spandex Touchscreen Gloves in Saddle (ARV $54). Hubby said they must not be warm because they are thin but he is wrong, they are very warm and have 3M Thinsulate Insulation in them. So the basic requirements of gloves being stylish and warm have been met.

Now for the test of truly working on touchscreen devices they are amazing. Really, that is the word compared to the other gloves I have tried. I put them on and without any extra pressure at all I am able to zoom, pinch, drag, slide, tap, stretch, and type anything I want on any of my devices. I tried this on a Nokia Lumia 928, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Gear, Surface Tablet, and even on my HP Envy desktop’s touch screen. No problems at all! Even better is that all of the fingertips work, not just the index fingers and thumbs like on a lot of gloves. Plus, on the lower part of fingers and palm there are these lines that help you grip your devices. Again, none of this is ugly at all – a nice design and superior functionality!

They do have a men’s line also and I am assuming they work they same, but I have not tried those. If you are looking for a gift for anyone that always has a device in hand and lives in a climate where the winter’s are cold then I highly recommend the U|R Powered Touchscreen Gloves! You can order them online directly or from other stores like Amazon, Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s, Dillard’s, Lord & Taylor, Von Maur, and Nordstrom.
