infographics logoToday is National Trails Day so I thought an infographic about hiking would be fitting. I know many of us might think of hiking as something that requires a lot of gear and you have to be in great shape to do it but that really is not true for all trails at all. Check your local, state, and national parks to find easy hiking trails, short trails, and even handicap accessible trails.

Hubby and I went hiking recently – yes I went hiking – twice actually. The first time we went to a state park nearby and hiked one of their many marked trails. No special equipment needed. I just wore tennis shoes even. It was nice enjoying nature. Then last time we went to the lake house Hubby took me on a hike through the woods to wear his tree stand is for hunting. I have heard him talk about it so long and it was nice to see it for myself. Again, just tennis shoes for me and some bug spray.

I encourage everyone to find some trails to hike and enjoy the outdoors. Plus, this is a free activity! Just get out there and go.

Do you ever go hiking? What is your favorite part of hiking on trails?
