T is a graduate

Happy dance, happy dance, happy dance! That is the special proud mom happy dance actually! So while I knew that my son, Taylor, had completed the requirements to graduate in December, today he was finally able to pick up his actual diploma at his high school. Yay!!!!

Taylor does not often give me permission to blog about him these days, let alone including a picture, but today he said I could. This made me even happier! So there is my handsome son and his high school diploma.

Those of you who have read my blog for a while know that Taylor had a lot of uphill battles to get through high school. So while every mom is proud when their child graduates, this one is extra special I think because of all that Taylor went through to get there. He worked really hard to do this and it was a struggle for him to stay the course and get it completed. Taylor is a smart guy, but there were other obstacles and he kept going.

We still plan on having a small graduation party for him sometime, but when the time is right, which is not right now. I don’t care if it’s 10 years from now even, the accomplishment deserves to be acknowledged with a party and it will be at some point.

Taylor, I love you very much and I knew you could do this! I am super proud of you for sticking with it and seeing this to completion. You can do anything you set your mind to!  – Love, Mom!
