Thanksgiving Craft Ideas - Make these projects to show your gratitude this November

Thanksgiving kind of gets overlooked these days it seems. This is wrong – it is such a great holiday to enjoy the autumn colors and share your gratitude towards others in your life. Today I have rounded up some great craft ideas that will be perfect to decorate your home or give as a gift to someone hosting a Thanksgiving dinner. Please note that I have permission from all of the blogs to share their photo and projects.

Maggie from The Love Nerds created these lovely Thankful For Burlap Canvases. What I love about this is that you can really customize it to fit your style. Use different colored burlap and paint, select the stencil in a font that you really like, and of course use whatever words you want. She said the project only took about 30 minutes, not counting paint drying time.

Thankful Tree

Heidi of One Creative Mommy shares a tutorial on how to make a Family Thankful Tree. She did hers on a smaller scale, but you could do this on an entire wall in maybe the foyer of your home. I love the idea of adding thankful leaves each day until the holiday and if you have guests on or before Thanksgiving let them create their own leaves to hang on your tree too.

deco mesh harvest wreath project

Sharon of Crafts ‘n Coffee made this brilliantly colored Deco Mesh Harvest Wreath. I have seen the rolls of this deco mesh in the stores and could not figure out what I could do with it but now I have a plan! This will really brighten up your door for Thanksgiving.

burlap placemat project

Jessa of Sparkle Living made these great Burlap Leaf Placemats. This project is a bit more labor intensive but it is totally unique. I am one of those people who actually find cutting things out like this kind of relaxing while I watch TV. Older kids could easily help with this project.

guilded acorns craft project

Rachel of Architecture of a Mom made these Gilded Acorns which I adore! While the rich oranges and reds of this season are favorites of mine, a little gilding is always nice. Gold would be nice to do these little acorns in as well. She gives you instructions on prepping the acorns too which is important.

ombre fall quote craft project

Rachel of Architect of a Mom also made this Ombre Fall Quote. This is a pretty simple project as you just blend the colors and then she used vinyl lettering, that you can find online and at craft stores, for the quote.

DIY Fall Table Runner Craft Project

Kendra of Simply Darrling shows you how to make a Fall Table Runner. I am not a sewer as a rule, but I think I could handle this since it is a lot of straight lines. I love the mix and match of the fabrics she selected for the project. Table runners are gorgeous to me but my cat, Ozzie, likes to run at full speed and jump on my table and would have it flying off constantly.

Autumn Sign Craft Project

Sara of Mom Endeavors kind of did a 2-in-1 with the Autumn Sign & Artwork Holder. You can make the autumn sign and glitterize (that’s a word, right?) those leaves and clothespins and then all the autumn crafts your kids make you can hang from it to showcase their creative side too!

Did you find some inspiration to create Thanksgiving crafts yourself from any of these? If you have any of your own posts about these types of crafts please share them in the comments too!
