Health and Beauty Gift Ideas |

This year for the holiday season I am working on providing you all with a wide assortment of gift giving ideas. Today I thought I would focus on health and beauty. These are all practical and helpful items that are a little more unusual than what I think you will find on other gift guides. Prices for today’s items start at under $10 even so you can find some great gifts and stay on budget.

EcoTools Makeup Brushes

Several years ago EcoTools sent me some brushes to try out and I loved them. I still love them and have bought several more myself over the years. They are made with bamboo and recycled materials which is an extra bonus. They stand up to makeup brush washings over and over again. I use mostly mineral powder makeup and the EcoTools work wonderfully with them. Now for the best part – they are very reasonable! The set is priced at $9.99 and the tapered blush brush is just $6.99! They have several other brushes available and you can find them online and in local retail stores. These would be great for teenage girls and women on your gift list as small gifts and even as stocking stuffers.

Clarisonic Mia 2

I have wanted a Clarisonic for years now and I just recently went ahead and bought myself one and I love it. You may see other facial cleaning tools like this at the store for far less money but those just spin. The Clarisonic uses sonic cleansing technology which is much different. You can use any of your own favorite cleansers with it also. This is definitely worth the price, the Mia 2 runs about $150. They have several different devices available as well.

MedCenter System

Recently I received this product to test out from MedCenter. I actually gave it to my mom to use because she does take a lot of medication on a daily basis. From time to time I have heard her say, “I forget to take my medicine.” Because of that I thought this would be great for her. Mom had some positives and negatives about the MedCenter. The positives are that they do help you organize your pills and she really liked the timer that allows you to set four daily alarms and the alarm will keep going off reminding you to take your medication. This system (they have others) is a bit on the large side so make sure you have room for it. She did have some trouble getting the individual boxes to open and or close. However, she does think that this would be ideal for someone who is a caregiver to help them manage the medications. The price is $74.95 but staying healthy and taking medications on time is very important and I think this could be a useful gift.

Gaiam TV Subscription

Recently I started working with Gaiam TV (compensated) as a #BalancedYou ambassador and I have been enjoying all of the videos I can watch, particularly the #MyYoga content. There are yoga videos of all different types and experience levels available – even beginner, like me. I love that I can watch the videos as much as I want and have such variety, for me this is better than buying a single DVD and being stuck with the same routine over and over. On top of the variety I can stream the content in a number of ways including my computer, tablet, smartphone, and my Samsung Smart TV, plus there are other options even.  Along with My Yoga content, a subscription also includes content on Health & Longevity, Spiritual Growth, Seeking Truth, and Films & Series. The subscription cost is $9.95 and gives you unlimited access to the entire library of videos and articles. For anyone already into yoga or someone who wants to start this would be a great and unique holiday gift.

Bare Escentuals Makeup & Skincare

Bare Escentuals aka Bare Minerals is the primary makeup brand that I buy. I tried some of the other brands of mineral makeup but none of them work as well as Bare Minerals in my opinion. If someone already uses Bare Minerals they have tons of different colors of products to try in eye shadows and liners, lip color, and the like that would be a great gift. For someone who is brand new to the brand one of their starter kits would be a great idea. My favorite place to buy them is at their boutique stores because the sales clerks are very knowledgeable and you can try things and see the color in person. However, I also order online and have found good deals on them on QVC. My favorites include the Bare Minerals Matte Foundation (powder), Mineral Veil Illuminating Finishing Powder, Prime Time Foundation Primer, and the Mineralixirs Cleanser.

Did you get any good ideas for holiday gifts for someone on your list or even just to treat yourself? Do you already use any of these products? Which would you most like to receive as a gift yourself?
