This week’s cocktail is a little something more unusual but still fairly simple to make. Sake is rice wine which is normally served warmed but this cocktail adds a few ingredients and it is served up cold. If you are not a green olive fan, you could substitute a thin ribbon of cucumber and skewer the cucumber and pickled ginger together instead. I have heard this called both a Saketini and a Sake Martini, I prefer the first just because I like fun words and this one makes me think of “sock it to me” from Laugh In when I say it. I know, I’m so easily amused!
