Whether you live in the St. Louis area or you are just planning a visit, there are tons of apps to use on your smartphones and tablets to help you navigate the metro area, places to go, things to do, and how to live here. For this week’s post (I do a post about St. Louis each Sunday) I thought I would share a few of these apps.

  • Explore St. Louis App
Created by the St. Louis Convention & Visitors Commission, this app will give you a nice overview on what is happening around town, attractions, hotels, shopping, and where to eat. iOS/Android. Free.
  • MoDOT Traveler Information Map App
This app is from the Missouri Department of Transportation and will give you the latest information on road conditions, work zones, road incidents and more. It actually covers the entire state of Missouri, but you can zoom into the St. Louis area easily. iOS/Android. Free.
  • Saint Louis Zoo App
We have one of the best zoos in the country and the admission is free! If you are planning to visit the zoo grab the app which will guide you around the zoo to find your favorite animals and exhibits. iOS/Android. Free.
  • St. Louis Green App
If you are green then this app will help you find eco-friendly restaurants and businesses. You can also find recycling locations around the area. iOS/Android. Free.
  • St. Louis Blues Hockey App
If you bleed blue then you will want the St. Louis Blues app to keep up on real-time game stats, watch and listen to games, buy tickets, and get special content. iOS/Android. Free.
  • BaseballSTL App
For the St. Louis Cardinals fans there is the BaseballSTL app which will keep you in the know on everything Cardinals. News, stats, photos, scores, schedules, trivia and more. Android. Free.
  • Missouri Fall Colors App
We have gorgeous colors in the autumn all across the state of Missouri. The Missouri Department of Conservation has created the app to help you find and share the best places to see fall colors at their peak. iOS/Android. Free.
  • ParkLouie App
If you are going to be parking you can now use your smartphone to pay rather than having to search for change in your car. iOS/Android. Free.
  • SeeClickFix App
This app is being used by many cities around the country, not just here in the St. Louis area. If you see a problem in your community just capture a photo and description of the problem and send the report in to get the right people working to solve the problem. You can put in your specific zip code to see if your city participates. iOS/Android/Windows/Blackberry. Free.
