Oktoberfest in St. Louis

Fall is here and it is time to hit the Oktoberfest festivals! The St. Louis area has a rich German heritage, I’m half German myself, and so there is no lack of Oktoberfests to attend. I’m actually a little late in posting about these and have realized that many of them already occurred – in September – what’s up with that?

  • Soulard Oktoberfest
    October 9-11
    St. Louis, MO
$5 general admission – but admission is free if you wear lederhosen!
Lots of music throughout the event, plenty of beer and food, plus some fun competitions like a brat eating content, bar maid competition and more.
  • St. Michael’s Octoberfest
    October 3-4
    Staunton, IL
Even tho I’m not religious, I love the idea of the Polka Mass they have at this event – how fun is that? Music of course, and a performance by Serengeti Steve and all of his critters. Lots of other fun and of course, a wine garden and beer tent.
  • Hermann Oktoberfest
    All 4 weekends in October
    Hermann, MO
There are a number of different events happening throughout the city each weekend. Some are free to attend, others have an admission. Check out the full schedule to see what interests you.

Do you attend any Oktoberfest events in your area? Please feel free to share info about them in the comments!
