The other night I went to a painting party and we were all supposed to bring a snack. I like to bring things that can sit out without having to keep them hot or cold so I made these amazingly delicious and flavorful Parmesan Ranch Ritz Crackers. You can eat them alone or you can add any kind of dip or spread you like on them as well. Our painting party didn’t have as many people as they had thought so I had leftovers to bring home and that has made Hubby extremely happy. He has been munching away at them and I know he will be asking me to make more very soon.

As I said, these can sit out at a party for several hours without any problems. Most everyone loves a Ritz cracker on their own and this is just boosting them up with lots of other flavors. We like a lot of spice, which my version of this recipe shows, but you can cut back on any of the ingredients you want or add more of something else if you prefer. These are not low in sodium however so be careful of that if this is an issue for you or your guests.

Even if you aren’t a cook, I promise you can still handle making these. Melt a little butter, put the crackers on a sheet pan, pour on the butter and other ingredients, toss and back for only 15 minutes. Once you take them out of the oven just let them cool for 10 minutes or so and then store in an air-tight container.

Parmesan Ranch Ritz Crackers

Ingredients

  • 2 boxes Ritz Crackers
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 packets ranch dressing mix (powdered)
  • 1/2 cup Kraft Parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1.5 tablespoons garlic powder (not salt)
  • 1/4 cup Kraft Parmesan cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 300° F. Melt butter in small saucepan. Distribute Ritz crackers onto to two sheet trays evenly. After butter has melted, add to small bowl and add the rest of remaining ingredients except the second 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and stir well to combine. Pour half the mixture over the each of the sheet trays of Ritz crackers. Gently toss to coat the crackers. Place in oven for 8 minutes. Toss again. Place back in over for another 7 minutes. Remove from oven, toss gently again and then sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Let cool for at least 10 minutes. Serve and/or place in air tight container. Will keep for about a week - if they last that long from people eating them!
