So the twins are almost 5 months old now (can you believe it) and since they have been born I have found myself washing my hands so much more. Because of that I also find that my hands can get dried out more often. Udderly Smooth saves my hands and keeps them feeling soft and smooth even with all the hand washing I do these days.
When we use traditional soaps to wash our hands it does remove dirt and other icky stuff, but it can also remove the natural oils in your skin. This is one of the reasons our skin can get so dry on our hands. Ingredients used in many soaps will do this. Now there are some soaps that have less of those things, but they don’t provide the same cleaning and lather that most of us are looking for when washing our hands. There is a lot of science involved with all of this, but like you, I’m one of those folks who just buys regularly soap usually. We have liquid soap on all the sinks in our house (bathrooms and kitchen) and use them often and since I’m not a rich person, I use the basics which are reasonably priced. This is where Udderly Smooth comes in. Not only does it work, but it still is reasonably priced.
I have two mainstays of the Udderly Smooth line that I use every single day. First is the original formula of Udderly Smooth hand cream. I love the small 2 oz. containers of this to keep all around the house, in my purse, when I travel, etc. It goes on smoothly and it is not greasy at all. Perfect for everyday life. On my nightstand I also keep a bottle of the Udderly Smooth Hand & Body Lotion. I use this on my hands, arms, legs, feet, and anywhere. Hubby also knows it is there and will often ask me to “borrow some lotion” in the evening. I laugh at borrow because once he puts it on his hands I know I am not getting it back!
While I do notice the appearance of the skin on my hands changing as I age (I’m 46), I actually do have people commenting on the skin on my hands on a regular basis. I’m going to credit this to two things, Udderly Smooth hand lotion and being on the chubby side still.
The CDC recommends washing your hands often, and doing it right, throughout the day. This can help prevent the spread of many diseases and conditions.
When should you wash your hands?
- Before, during and after preparing food
- Before eating food
- Before and after caring for someone who is sick
- Before and after treating a cut or would
- After using the toilet
- After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has gone potty
- After blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing
- After touching an animal, animal feed, animal treats or animal waste
- After touching garbage
- After shopping
(this is my own addition to the CDC list, but I always wash my hands when I get home and after putting away groceries and such)
After a good hand washing I reach for my Udderly Smooth to add moisture back into my skin and keep them soft and smooth. Who wants dry, cracked and itchy old skin? Not me and not my twin granddaughters!
Udderly Smooth is also providing a prize package to one of my lucky readers of assorted Udderly Smooth products. They are all fabulous!
