It is Halloween season which means lots of parties, festivals, and of course, trick-or-treating. Most of us are using our smartphones these days as our primary camera, but there is so much more you can do for Halloween fun with your smartphones and tablets. I will be using my Moto Z smartphone and mods from Verizon (I’m a #VZWBuzz ambassador) on Halloween this year. Here are a few ideas to get you started!
Spooky Music Playlist
Create a fun playlist of spooky and Halloween music from your favorite music streaming site. Many of the services like Microsoft Groove (my favorite), Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, Google Play Music, Amazon Prime Music, and the like probably already have some great Halloween playlists featured for you to use or get started with. Use your wireless Bluetooth speaker to play your spooky music outside while you pass out candy or at your Halloween party. Or if you have the new Moto Z Smartphone and the JBL SoundBoost Moto Mod you can play the haunting music and sounds thru it!
Have a Scavenger Hunt
I’ve done scavenger hunts many times at Halloween parties. It used to be that we actually had to physically collect the items from neighbors, but now we just snap photos of the items with our team to collect them. Have one person per team use their phone to capture all the images.
Creepy Tales App
Like reading spooky and creepy tales? Check out the Creepy Tales app! Android.
Find Local Haunted House Venues
Love being creeped out and scared? The Haunts app can show you all the local venues in your area.
Use Ghost Lens iOS app to create super creepy and cool images and movies with photos from your phone to freak out friends. Plenty of illusions, stickers, and special effects to be super spooky this Halloween.
It’s easy to use the Voice Changer app to change your voice to match your costume this Halloween. Android.
Looking for those ghosts and goblins this Halloween? The Ghost Radar app says it can help you find those spirits by detecting paranormal activity. Android.
Where are the Kids?
Keep track of the kids in a multitude of ways this Halloween while they are out trick-or-treating. If they have phones I would suggest the Life 360 app to keep track of them. Another option is to use a Tile tracker and you can see where they are in the neighborhood right on your phone also.
Classic Halloween Movies
Don’t forget to check out the classic Halloween movies to stream on your device or cast from your device to your TV. Even cooler, if you have the Moto Z Smartphone and the Moto Insta-Share Mod you can display those classic movies outside on the side of your home, garage, or a large sheet. You would be the hit of the neighborhood I’m sure!
Scarify Your Photos
After you take all those fun photos, use apps like PicMonkey (iOS and Android) and their special Halloween fonts, filters, and effects to scarify those fun photos.
Craft a Halloween Photo Book
After the holiday take all those awesome photos and memories and create a fun Halloween Photo Book with Shutterfly starting at just $12.99. This is such a creative way to save memories for all the holidays and special events. I plan on making one for the twins since this is their very first Halloween!
What other fun ways do you plan on using your smartphone or tablet for Halloween this year?
