Yes, I am still here! As you probably can tell I haven’t been posting here on the blog very much lately.
The twins both got a stomach virus, then they both got RSV and ear infections, and then of course, it got passed on to Hubby and I. Ugh! I never did daycare with my own son, but the twins started a few months ago and are bringing home all sorts of cooties unfortunately. I *think* we are all on the mend now though. Fingers crossed for no more major cooties and bugs.
Along with illness, I have been depressed about my son. It is what it is, but I do still miss him so much but I know I’m doing the right thing for now.
So, I’m going to try to get back to posting daily here on my blog for you all. However, I’m also going to look for a more traditional job in 2017. A part-time job in social media would be perfect for me because it will allow me to keep up with my blog and personal social media but also give me a steady paycheck and get me out of the house a bit more which I desperately need these days. It is very daunting though to look for a traditional job after all of these years – the last “regular” job I had was in 1994 I think! Yikes!
The Comment & Win Giveaway is still happening, but I am going to extend the end date a bit. The reason for this is that since I haven’t been working on my blog as much lately that means my income from it has gone down as well. I hope you all understand the extension. The new end date is February 28, 2017. The rest of the same rules apply. This giveaway is not sponsored by any company, just me, as a way to thank my readers and followers.
We had a very nice Christmas with the twins, Caitlan, Dalton (her new boyfriend that we love), my parents, my brother, and Hubby’s parents. We were a bit packed in since we are overflowing with baby things these days, but it was still very nice spending time with family. The girls got a gazillion toys and gifts. They didn’t quite understand what was going on, but they seemed to enjoy all the people and decorations. They also loved ripping up wrapping paper when they opened presents. One othe
r thing I thought was very funny was that Violet was disinterested in any clothing they got as gifts, whereas Valerie was just excited about that as the toys they received. That so totally fits their personalities!
I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season and thank you so much for stopping by to read my updates! I’m working on a post this evening with some yummy chicken appetizers that will be perfect for New Year’s Eve also, so stay tuned!
