Where In The World Is Mrs. Butterworth’s? Contest

Where In The World Is Mrs. Butterworth’s? Contest

I love Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup, it’s my favorite. When I was little I remember my mom tried to save the bottle and refill it with another brand of syrup and as soon as I poured it out I knew something was wrong, then when I tasted it I definitely knew it was not my Mrs. Butterworth’s syrup! Do you take your syrup with you? I never thought about doing that, but maybe I should. Sometimes when I ordered breakfast foods out I do get some rather odd tasting syrups. Mrs. Butterworth’s wants to know where you are taking her in … Continue Reading →
HealthiFeet – Review & Giveaway

HealthiFeet – Review & Giveaway

What’s the saying…cold feet, warm heart? Well, that is a nice thought, but having cold feet all the time is kind of annoying actually for most folks. I think warming up the feet doesn’t make your heart get cold. Certain times of the year it seems like my toes are always cold, but if I put socks on then my feet are too hot. Hot, cold, hot, cold. The same folks that shared with me the QuikClot for Nosebleeds that worked so wonderfully for Taylor, also shared HealthiFeet. I’ve been trying out HealthiFeet on just one foot for a couple … Continue Reading →
Cats and Birds

Cats and Birds

We have indoor only cats, but they love looking out the window. In my home office we have a large cat tower in front of the window so they can all look out. Recently, we added this clear acrylic suction cup bird feeder to the window because we have an entire family of these little birds living in the bushes just under the window. The cats just are mesmerized by the birds! We have a coating on the windows though so the birds can’t see in and see the cats right there at the windows which is why this works … Continue Reading →

Operation Mania Game – Review & Giveaway

Operation Mania Game – Review & Giveaway

With the health care crisis and debate over health care reform raging here in the USA, I thought we could use something to lighten the mood for just a bit. Remember playing the game Operation when you were a kid (or with your kids now as an adult)? I think every kid I knew growing up had this game and it was a favorite for all of us. Now there is a great computer game called Operation Mania with some of the same fun! This is another fun game from Hasbro and EA Games. Taylor and I first found out about … Continue Reading →
X the TXT

X the TXT

You all know I am an ambassador for Mom Sends the MSG to help remind all of us to keep our mind on the wheel when we are driving. This includes no texting. Mom Central members, like me, are spreading the word also about The Allstate Foundation’s “X the TXT: Thumbs Up for the Safest Holiday Ever” campaign. Everyone has something different that triggers a reaction inside of us – so along with Mom Sends the MSG the X the TXT is just another way to drive that message home! Taylor just got his learner’s permit 10 days ago. We … Continue Reading →
Prepping Your Kids Tech Gifts

Prepping Your Kids Tech Gifts

Is Santa bringing the kids a new computer or a gaming system? I’m sure they will be thrilled, but you know they are going to want to play with those new techy gifts NOW once they open though. The problem is that some things require some set up. If possible have “Santa” open the items up and get them ready to run, then they can be put back in the box and wrapped up. This is especially true for computers. You need to get your parental control software installed, your anti-virus protection, and any other needed programs or settings loaded, … Continue Reading →
Easy & Inexpensive Holiday Decorating Idea

Easy & Inexpensive Holiday Decorating Idea

I really wish I was a better photographer because in person this looks really very cool. Regardless, I wanted to share this super easy and inexpensive holiday decorating idea. This is the second year I’ve done this at my house. This is a window in the family room (we do it on both the windows). It happens to have a large black shade on it (to block out the sun when we need) and there is a valance at the top (we just made it with wood, cotton batting, fabric and a staple gun). During the holidays I hang ornaments … Continue Reading →
Apple & Eve Fruitables – Review & Giveaway

Apple & Eve Fruitables – Review & Giveaway

Taylor drinks mostly water, he has always been that way. He still enjoys juices though, but nothing overly sweet – probably because I used to always cut his juice with 50% water also. When the request came in to review Apple & Eve’s Fruitables fruit & vegetable juice he said he would be happy to taste them. Taylor’s first reaction, “Dang! This is good!” Right away he said it was better than other apple juices he has tried. Hubby’s first reaction, “That’s awesome!” I know, my guys get really excited about simple things. I would have to agree it is … Continue Reading →
